Good Green News

For 12 hours or more
a slow, sweet, soaking rain
has been playing on cloud drums
and turning every leaf into a muted bell
that tolls this Good Green News
and every tiny chime
is singing in kindness and plenty
and a willingness to nurture
the green growing edge of every thing
that breathes
into the bounty of this moment.

Some golfers will play in "Scottish Mist"
some gardeners will kneel down on the damp ground of becoming
but all will rise up singing praises
to the glory of what is
and the blessing of what is green & growing.
