Deep Peace
sermon by Ted Tollefson
July 14, 2019
Deep peace arises
when we experience a profound sense of belonging:
being in the place where we have longed to be where nothing is absent, unnecessary or unlovely.
Deep peace resonates
when we commune with our surroundings with awareness that does not require judgment:
we put our hands, hearts and minds together we bow to greater possibilities.
Deep peace is strengthened
when we give and receive the gift of undivided attention we become focused and yet relaxed we gather the elements around us and until they resonate to a deeper music.
Deep peace reverberates
when the tensions of embodied life are held in dynamic tension and harmony:
the kite flies, the golf ball sails
our teenage children and grand-children learn to say “thanks” and they mean it.
Deep peace transforms
our embodied lives.
in moments of atunement
in occasions of at-one-ment
when our body-mind-spirit rings like a meditation bell.
